A collab between Magic: The Gathering and Final Fantasy is something of dreams for many TCG players. It certainly was a big dream of Shoichi Ichikawa, a producer of the Final Fantasy series. As the self-proclaimed biggest fan of Magic at Square Enix, Ichikawa was a big proponent of getting this collab done, and now it won't be long before everyone can purchase it for themselves. The legendary Magic: The Gathering X Final Fantasy collab set is expected to release on June 13, 2025.

A Full Celebration of Final Fantasy's Beloved History

This collaboration between Magic: The Gathering and Final Fantasy is expansive. It isn't limited to just a couple of cute promo cards. This is a whole set that we're talking about here. Every game from Final Fantasy I to Final Fantasy XVI is expected to be represented in some way. Some of the franchise's most popular characters are confirmed to be included, such as Terra, Lightning, Noctis, and Cloud. Those names just barely scratch the surface of what will be available, however.
